Title and Summary

Responsabilidades

•Design, develop, test, deploy, and support automated software solutions that validate applications, services, APIs, and system integrations throughout the software development lifecycle.

•Translate business, functional, and technical requirements into scalable, maintainable, and automated validation solutions.

•Contribute to software design and architecture discussions, applying appropriate testing approaches, automation frameworks, engineering standards, and design patterns.

•Develop and maintain automated test frameworks, utilities, and reusable components that improve software quality, reliability, and delivery efficiency.

•Write secure, high-quality code while adhering to established coding standards, secure development practices, and team processes.

•Participate in code reviews to improve code quality, maintainability, security, automation coverage, and overall engineering excellence.

•Develop and maintain unit, functional, integration, performance, regression, and end-to-end automated tests to ensure quality and reliability.

•Troubleshoot, debug, and analyze defects, test failures, and application issues to identify root causes and improve system stability.

•Partner closely with software engineers to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring appropriate test coverage, monitoring, performance validation, and operational readiness.

•Analyze and optimize automation frameworks, test execution processes, and validation capabilities to improve scalability, reliability, and efficiency.

•Design, generate, and manage test data, environments, and test execution activities required to support delivery objectives.

•Build automated quality solutions that integrate with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes to support continuous testing and release confidence.

•Participate in Agile planning, story refinement, requirements elaboration, estimation, prioritization, and delivery activities.

•Collect, analyze, and communicate quality metrics, test results, risks, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

•Create and maintain technical documentation for automation frameworks, testing approaches, quality strategies, and delivered solutions.

•Collaborate with peers to solve technical challenges, share knowledge, improve engineering practices, and support Software Engineering Guild initiatives.

•Continuously learn and adopt new technologies, testing approaches, tools, and development practices that improve software quality and engineering outcomes.

All About You

•3+ years of hands-on Java development experience building, testing, deploying, and supporting enterprise applications.

•Experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks and test suites, including hands-on experience with Selenium.

•Understanding of software engineering fundamentals, object-oriented design, common design patterns, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

•Experience with CI/CD pipelines, source control, automation, and modern software delivery practices.

•Experience creating and executing unit, integration, regression, and end-to-end tests to ensure software quality and reliability.

•Familiarity with gRPC or similar API technologies and service-to-service integrations.

•Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and root-cause analysis skills, with experience diagnosing issues across distributed systems.

•Knowledge of secure coding practices, code reviews, and software quality standards.

•Experience working in Agile environments utilizing Scrum, Kanban, or similar methodologies.

•Strong collaboration and communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

•Demonstrated curiosity, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous learning and knowledge sharing.

Software Engineer II

About the Role

Mastercard's Services Technology organization is seeking a Software Engineer II to contribute to the design, development, testing, deployment, and operational excellence of software solutions that support AI & Decision Product Enablement (DPE) platforms. These platforms power intelligent decisioning, real-time analytics, and fraud prevention capabilities at global scale.

This role is responsible for developing and maintaining automated test solutions, validating complex applications and system integrations, contributing to software quality throughout the development lifecycle, and collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable software solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering fundamentals, automation expertise, problem-solving skills, and a passion for building quality into software from design through production.

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
