Phoenix - Open Pit Tire Technician

Position Description: Nevada Gold Mines is looking for an Open Pit Tire Technician to join our Maintenance Team at Phoenix.

Responsibilities: Maintain all tires on mine equipment, including passenger light vehicles and all off road vehicles Maintaining correct air pressures and tread depths Inspecting and removing worn or failed tires and installing replacement tires Repairing all repairable tires Complete routine maintenance activities for the purpose of ensuring the availability and safe functioning of large mining, support equipment fleets Maintain shop areas, tools, and service vehicles to ensure a clean and safe work environment

Perform daily pre-shift work inspections and participate in individual and group hazard identification processes Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: Two (2) plus years of experience in maintenance of mobile, farm, trucking, aircraft, military or support equipment preferred Basic knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics required Ability to work safely and effectively with minimal supervision required Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of people required

Experience handling tires preferred Ability to accomplish strenuous physical labor under all weather conditions required Lift at least 50 lbs. required Proven safe work record with belief and value seen in courageous leadership model required Ability to be an initial team member in a growing, fast paced environment, and support team in attainment of safety, environmental, equipment protection and production goals with a proven safety record required Housekeeping standards are maintained to a high level required
